Earth Day Freebie
Earth Day is a big deal at my school. Each class does something to show that they care about the Earth and we celebrate with an Assembly where everyone presents their ideas about what they’ve done. My kids came up with their own idea of what to do this year to show they care. It all started one day at lunch time when one little cutie asked if she could pick up litter on the playground. I gave her a pint sized plastic glove and a little bag to put her trash in and away she went. Little did I know that this would start a movement. My kids just became little trash collectors after that. They were on a mission, totally inspired and my heart warmed each time they headed out at recess to continue their work. I loved that they thought of it on their own.
If you’re looking for something to help you inspire your kids, I’ve got a couple to share with you. Just click on the pic to download.

What an adorable writing craft, Leslie! I'll definitely have to pin this one for next year! 🙂
