Got a little story for ya – A few weeks ago, I got to school one morning and noticed that there was blue paint dripping on my classroom floor. So, of course I investigated and discovered that a bottle of blue paint had tipped over in my cupboard, spilled everywhere inside the cupboard and onto the floor. I had my new boots on, so instead of cleaning it up right away (like a good teacher would) I shut the cupboard door. Yep. Just closed it and walked away on all that mess. But, said to myself – I’ll clean it up later. Then I forgot about it. It just went out of my head completely. That happens a lot lately.
And so, on Friday, I just happened to look in that cupboard for something. Paint probably. And, then I was reminded. And let me tell you, it’s not pretty. All that paint kinda formed a paint river and has now dried and I’m a gonna need me some sort of cleaning fluid built by NASA to get it off. End of story – I now have a cupboard in my classroom with dried up blue paint all over it. And I have decided to like it like that cause I’m lazy trying to be cool.
Speaking of cool, I’m on the 3rd and (I thought) final Pete the Cat story. But, there is a 4th. So excited, it’s a Christmas Pete the Cat. Anyway, Pete and his four Groovy Buttons. Love this Cat!
Once we finished the story, we worked on this little sequencing activity. Get your kids to cut the strips out first, the order is mixed up and they glue them right on top of the words, first, next, then, etc….
