The Bear Wants More…Can You Blame Him?
My kids go nuts for these Bear books!! It starts in the Fall with Bear Snores On, then Christmas with Bear Stays Up and now Spring and Bear Wants More.
I have to admit I love the stories too. They are so sweet and charming and my kids love to talk about the characters and how cute they are. I created a pack that can be used in conjunction with the story. This time I included a favorite character graph, which my kids had so much fun doing. It’s great to watch them go around the room and ask each other questions, then record the responses. They have become so independent!
Here’s a quick peek at it! There’s some Bear themed Math practice with ten frames and simple addition and for Literacy, we explore the story by making connections, re-telling, building sentences and just plain character fun!
We’re just finishing up the Bear story this week and moving onto this little nugget of a topic next. Pollution! Gearing up for an Earth Day full of awareness.
And we just finished reading this great story about Oil Spills. My kids felt so bad for the birds and the animals. But, it really got them thinking about what they could do to help the planet.
I’ll be back soon with more Earth Saving ideas! You can check out Bear Wants More here.
Hope it’s showing signs of Spring wherever you are.
